FACT, he knows there is a possibility of losing to Margarito, but he does not want to take the risk

FACT, if he did not believe there was a possibility of losing he would take the fight and 8 mil in a heartbeat

I was simply saying that people on this board know exactly who he is and what he can do. The problem with fighting him is that he is not well known by fringe fans. Unfortunately, the amount of $ you make in boxing is determined by how much of the fringe audience you can capture that is why Tyson and DLH are the most successful PPV fighters. If you look back even further I said that I think Margarito is deserving but what is the problem with him fighting a few more well known fighters to get his name out there. Fight Judah or Williams or Cotto or Collazo etc. Or fight Baldomir and become the undisputed champ at 147. Let Floyd do his ****** thing with DLH and/or Mosley. In 12 months this fight will be worth even more money. That is my point. Not that I don't want a Mayweather-Margarito fight now... simply that it could be more profitable for BOTH of them in the future.

That is completely your opinion. No offense but I don't think when 2 fighters can't get a fight made during their FIRST talks that this constitutes ducking. Ducking should be reserved for when 2 fighters NEVER get a fight done. Margarito and Mayweather are both far from done so lets not close the door on anything yet. For example, you wouldn't say that Shane and DLH are ducking Floyd because they won't fight him in November right (the $ there would be close to if not more than what Floyd is being offered for Margarito).

This is the mistake that most boxing fans on this site make, you underestimate the importance of the common casual fan. You disregard that most people dont watch boxing, many people simply just like a few good fights here and there, establishing a name is what boxing is mostly about, getting a resume, having fights that people have seen or know about. The casual fan doesnt know who this guy is no matter how hard all of you try to kid yourselves. Infact, the casual fan doesnt know too many names outside of De La Hoya and Tyson. But at the least, floyd has the BIGGER name of the two, and the established resume even if its not incredibly great in his (1 year) tenure at 147. Infact, Floyd hasnt even been at welter for even a full year and Margarito is begging like a homeless bum looking for a handout to fight Mayweather.

People like to compare this guy to forrest, or wright, but those guys called out EVERYBODY, and fought anyone and everyone that they could, they also didint have guys like arum lobbying for them like they do this guy. I have said before that this is all a very well thought out plan by Arum. Margarito doesnt call out anyone else but Floyd then cries like a baby like "Oh im done calling him out, he doesnt want to fight me". Well then ****ing fight someone else, ****. Because of the internet, because of the way we can all see who was offered what and this and that, we are able to be exposed a bit more to certain fighters and certain contract "offers."

Do you know of how many of the greatest champions probably didnt fight some guy who was "dangerous" but held a minor title belt with no ****in resume to show for it, and then this "dangerous" champion probably got slapped up by some journeyman/up and comer etc? We are exposed to people like Margarito through alot of campaigning and media wordplay. If it wasnt for all this bull**** he would be another decent welterweight and not the Tyson of the division that you people make him out to be.

both Shane and Oscar's last fights were at 154. Floyd is proclaiming ti be the best, well he is at welter..he should fight the best at welter.

He cant use money as an excuse he was offered 8 mil. He cant use Marg's popularity as an excuse...he fought Henry Brussles?? The hbo crew had never even seen Brussles fight before..
