Most of you phaggots were calling GGG the GOAT a year or two back. Don't forget that.
The Myth That GGG Has 20 Title Defenses

which would make 15 defences total, not 20...
IF that happened..... but, it did not...
meaning that only 9 of those defences are truly legitimate
you guys hand out participation awards for Golovkin at 160..... just like you hand out participation awards for Pacquiao at 126 and 140Comment

When boxing fans in years to come are reading up on the history of the MW division.....
they will wonder why Mr " anyone from 154-168 " totally refused to negotiate on weight with Cotto and Canelo.....
..... but then ran around 6 months later saying that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up
oh, and they will also wonder why Mr "anyone from 154-168" was more than happy to negotiate on weight with RosadoComment

GGG was mandatory challenger for the WBA MW title.the first sentence in this post is utter nonsense
the rest of this post could be correct..... but, it categorically proves that the first 11 defences on Golovkin's record are not legit
the WBA " junior " titles are rubbish..... they are just like the WBC Franchise title
There was no WBA super title at MW.
GGG fought for the WBA title and won it. Meanwhile, the WBA had created a paper "super" title for Sturm to defend in Germany and rake in money for themselves and his promoter.
Conclusion: GGG was the WBA MW champion, and unbiased boxing fans who care about the integrity of the sport should accept all his title defenses as legit.Last edited by kafkod; 08-21-2019, 10:05 AM.Comment

Nobody can ever accuse diva fans of being too bright.
They dis GGG without realizing he's one of the diva's best wins.
Besides GGG, Alvarez's wins over Lara and Jacobs are the best he's got.
Three decent wins and 2 are controversial.
I didn't forget Cotto. Small and faded and possibly the weakest MW champ in boxing history, damm, Miguel beat a 1 legged guy for the title.Comment

Nope, they will scratch their heads and wonder why on earth GGG was even asked to negotiate on weight for a mandatory unification fight with another MW title holder. When boxing fans in years to come are reading up on the history of the MW division.....

LOL! You mean he lost to Canelo twice. In the first fight he wasn’t landing shît but jabs and missing all of his power punches, looking sloppy and frustrated. Canelo easily slipped his punches and countered all night.
In the second fight Canelo made GGG his bïtch, beating him at his own game. Give it a rest buddy.Comment

LOL! GTFO. The real WBA belt IS the super belt. Felix Strum was the champion and then became the Super Champion after they created the interim/regular. Daniel Geale beat Félix Strum for the WBA championship, Daniel Geale gets stripped and then GGG is automatically elevated to the real champion just for being the interim/regular champion.GGG was mandatory challenger for the WBA MW title.

Him defending his regular belt means jack shît. He doesn’t have 20 title defenses.Comment

So with your rules, he has the second most consecutive defenses of a middleweight title in the history of boxing.
That’s a HOF resume still.
These morons count his title defenses when he was the WBA interim/regular champion. A fake belt that no one cares about.
He was finally elevated to WBA Champion on November 2012 after Daniel Geale got stripped and since then only defended the title 15 times, and one of them was a draw.Comment
