They were all huge step ups.
Nobody knew if GGG or GRJ were any good because they kept fighting poor opposition. Both turned out to be good once they stepped up.
In GGGs case he win a very close decision over a Top 5 MW in Danny Jacobs
In GRJ case he lost a close but clear decision against Loma who was quickly on his way to PFP stardom...although Loma was really hurting GRJ toward the latter rounds
Hatton looked great on his side of the pond and was brutally hurting people against domestic opponents, but once he stepped up to the world stage he was exposed
JCC Jr was at one point considered the next MW heir. It's funny now, but true then. Obviously that never panned out as JCC Jr is a Chavez by name and not by skill
