Yarde Vs Kovalev is the biggest in recent Memory.

Yarde hasnt done anything to gradually increase the Level of Opposition, so that he can slowly adapt to more difficult boxing styles, longer rounds and he also didnt even face anyone who can even remotely be considered a Puncher.

Ive read that he also only had 12 Amateur fights? So the variety of styles that he has faced amounts to Basic european style with no Special effects.

Never fought against someone who could make him fight at an uncomfortable pace.

Never fought against someone who is technically superior or has a significant Speed Advantage.

And also didnt even face someone whose offense could make it dangerous for him.

I would be really suprised if he is able to win against Kovalev, in Russia for crying out loud. lol. His only fight overseas was against a bum in the US.

Idk that Yarde vs Kovalev is the biggest jump up in competition. I think this sh^t happens all the time. Granted its usually forgetable when it happens cuz the guy loses. Or its forgetable cuz the guy has enough hype behind him now that once the fight is over its not seen as that big of a jump up any longer.

Even though he has done so little he is the WBO number 1 contender. It shows how fuced up the WBO ranking can be. Guys like Andrade and Saunders become their champions by beating some guy you never heard of. Kovalev will probably slaughter him.

Its well known Fisheyes has the WBO in his back pocket. the fact Yarde is even challenging for a world title now despite beating no one is ridiculous.

Yeah, going life and death against a 41 year old man and needing a Typical UK standing stoppage against someone who had only one fight in the last two years and lost 11 rounds of that fight...huge huge step up. What an accomplishment!
