Biggest Jump up in competition (Yarde V Kovalev) etc

Yarde has not even proved himself at domestic level, ducking frank buglioni and Hosea Burton.

Best win is faded euro level guys like Sjekloca who was 40 years old.

His last win was 38 year old Travis Reeves, ranked 66 on boxrec

    Travis Reeves > Sergey Kovalev

    Any others?

off the top off my head a green Joseph Parker had not fought a top 50 heavyweight in the world before he was thrown in with Carlos Takam a top 15/20 HW.

He had just fought Jason Bergman (top 100+ HW) > Carlos Takam (top 15/20 HW)

When Pavlik fought Edison Miranda, the general feeling was that it is gigantic step up for him and most likely he will be KOd.

AJ fighting Klitschko in just 19 fights tops for me. Yarde is unproven but will be way to athletic against a guy seemingly who doesn't react well to body shots and that's Yardes best punches.

I've seen even worse: some "mandos", some fights for some "vacant titles"...

jason welborn vs jerrett hurd was a big one

welborn was mixing at middleweight british title level hurd unified champ at 154 and the guy most regarded as number 1 at the time

Wellborn had already fought alot of decent guys already... im not sure the jump from Matt Macklin, a fringe world level guy to Hurd is that big tbf...

there is another Russian making a big jump up in competition on the Kovalev/Yarde undercard:

Aleksei Papin (best win Sillah, who was a career LHW) is fighting top 10/15 CW Junior Makabu
