Ruiz wouldn't have gotten the fight without a rematch clause. That was a voluntary not a mandatory. Nobody is getting a voluntary title shot without a rematch clause

That’s my point. Guy I quoted said Haymon knew Ruiz would win.
My point is they really wanted the fight win or lose so a rematch clause with a guaranteed $9 million wasn’t to stop them as most likely there would be no rematch since Ruiz winning was a Tyson/Douglass level upset.
