LHW is a very dangerous division.

I don’t think these 200lb+ guys should be taking too much head punishment during camp.

The LHWs speed and power just makes it deadly.

I believe it's just a rumor. This is the last week of preparation so he's probably tapering off.

I have a feeling this is going to backfire on him in a very bad way. On the contrary, All james toney did to prepare for a fight was SPAR. No roadwork or bag work just non stop sparring.

I would expect a lack of sparring would lead to someone being rusty

As much as Tunde seems like a joke he has some points with sparring in regards to injuries or taking unnecessary shots. But for him to devise his whole training system copying the Mayweathers, with his own modifications being removing roadwork and sparring from the plan, seems questionable. The hard sparring was detabatably what had Floyd Jr. not only so well conditioned, but conditioned under pressure. What I'm wondering I guess is what Tunde supplements his training with if they choose to cut those things out? Three times as much patty cake games on the pads? Well I guess we will see next Saturday, the first real test of Yarde and and Tunde's "System 9"

“Anthony is the golden child who will validate me. All he has to do is win a world title. I built him from scratch. Then, they’ll have to give me credit."

                  Not sparring ? What a ****** idea.

Not a bright idea to try and reinvent the wheel when stepping up to fight Kovalev.

If he was fighting regularly, once a month like the old timers used to, then I could see not needing to spar.

But just doing pads and hitting bags and strength training? I don't see how you can hone your timing and distancing for a real time bout.

Sergio Martínez used to spar little before each Match.
