Why Boxing Is Poorly Promoted vs UFC

anyone here work in nightlife or entertainment.

Finding places that show UFC can be done in the quickness.

Seems boxing is only played in middle of nowhere venues.

Industry people always tell me boxing is too expensive to screen. What going on?

Politics, boxing has too many fingers in the pie for hundreds of years. UFC has one man controlling it, as much as I hate the pay that the fighters generate on UFC I like the fact that the best fight the best, you don’t have to wait 5 years for a fight to come off.

Idk about pricing & I don't think he has anything to do with pricing anyway.

I don't think they know what to show half the time cuz boxing is a f#cking maze of what fights matter & what fights don't matter.

Boxing isn't branded in the same way most individual sports are. Most individual sports make the event the brand. Thats what the UFC does to. They have bigger & smaller fights just like boxing, but when you order a UFC you know you are gonna get 10-12 evenly matched fights far more often then not & probably 2 or 3 really fun fights even if all the rest suck. Boxing isn't about the event. Its about 1 specific fight & if that fight sucks the whole thing sucks. Much more variance with that strategy than the UFC's strategy & other individual sports that create a big event & not just 1 36 minute or less thing for people to watch.

To change this the big boxing events need to be actually full events & not just one thing.

UFC is one promoter, imagine if PBC or dazn had the market dominance and name recognition and only did in house fights. I mean it doesn't hurt the UFC basically invented MMA.

MMA does seem to have better third party commentary and analysis though IMO. Maybe I'm missing some but why does half the boxing channels of YouTube, especially US ones are like budget as hell.

Yea its cool running around & seeing random gyms everywhere too. Like I didn't even know Jorge Linares had a gym around here, but randomly came across it the other day. Boxing isn't just on TV here. Its all over the place.

There is a good amateur system here too. I came from Michigan which had a good amateur system, but I think its better & more active here. Lotsa amateur shows. Watch in the next 5-10 years a lot of really good fighters coming outta Vegas I'd bet.
