I am a Lewis fan, I also like Bruno, just calling it how I see it. Bruno started faster and was doing well, but rounds 5 and 6 Lewis had that jab timed and there was a momentum shift in the fight with Bruno’s eye almost shut and not able to see the jab coming.
To say he was beating the brakes off Lewis is like saying khan was beating the brakes of Alvarez. He started fast but you could clearly see the point when Alvarez got his timing off and the fight changed. At the time of the stoppage one judge had it to Bruno the other two had it level at 3 rounds each, so my mistake there.

It’s such a lame point to attack someone’s greatness by sayibg they were getting beat in a fight before they ultimately won. I’ve seen it with Gamboa v Crawford and many others. But surely it’s a sign of greatness to make adjustments and overcome adversity to pull out the win.

I don’t even know what the whole, two fights later this happened to Lewis, has to do with analysing Lewis vs Bruno??
In your own post, you admitted that Lennox didn't get into the fight until the 5th and 6th rds. Say we go by that - it means Bruno won the first 4 rds, no?

So if Bruno won 4 out of the first 6 rds...who was leading before that punch changed the fight?

Don't compare Khan vs Alvarez to Bruno vs Lewis - it's utterly disrespectful to Bruno.

This was a joke right? Do you really know your boxing? Ruiz is a good fighter and on his way to be a great fighter. Some pundits believe that he did beat Parker for the WBO belt. Check his amateur record and come back again. Did we know before hand that he would beat AJ? No. But did boxing fans know he is not going fold? Yes!!! Also remember at this level of boxing, anyone can be knocked out in any given round, this does not make you a lesser fighter, please ask Lennox( check his wins& loses)

        • Both got ktfo by opponents they were SUPPOSED to beat. Lennox twice. But Lennox came back to avenge both of his losses. AJ is trying to and once the rematch happens we'll see if he can.

On another note, I find it weird that Lennox has bad mouthed AJ in the 1st place. Is it cause he's an analyst with PBC? Because before then, he sang AJ's praises...

          • Lewis does seem to have a sour opinion of AJ and not sure what it's about so I can kind of agree with AJ here.

            • At this stage in Joshua's career its best to throw punches at retired boxers than active boxers.

undisputed, many defences. thats not end of story at all, it trumps many greats.

ordo you call end of story on everyone from jack to joshua.
Too early to judge AJ's career now. Let's do that when he retires, shall we?

However, based on what both achieved at this stage of their careers - AJ is ahead of Lennox Lewis.

Both won Olympics gold medals but AJ has already unified twice, while Lennox only had one belt at this stage.

The first round was very cagey, could have been even but Lewis possibly edged it.
I also didn’t say I had the fight even, i said two of the judges did.
And by the way winning a fight by 4 rounds to 2, but with the tide shifting, losing the last two rounds before you get stopped and your visibility severely compromised with a close to shut eye, is not beating the brakes off someone you moron.

Bruno was beating the brakes off his arse and everyone who watched that fight would tell you the same thing. I know you're a Lennox fan girl but you can't change what happened in that fight.

I grew up a Mike Tyson fan and I'd be the first to tell you that he was grossly overrated and came up short in all his big fights. But I'll always admire his explosiveness and what he did for boxing because he singlehandedly made boxing a global sport again.
