I'm from Australia so I'd back it, but it wouldn't happen for very good reasons.
Understood. It can be in Japan or Canada....anywhere that's neutral that will appease that bltch, Ruiz. Ruiz will not fight in the U.K and Hearns will not fight in the U.S.

      • Great to see Eddie Hearn being messed around, after he has been doing the same to every opponent for many years.

I can't wait for Eddie Hearn's response to this news.
What's going on is a repeat of Rid**** Bowe with the WBC.

I'm surprised Haymon hasn't "made this disappear". If were Don King, people's kneecaps would have been shattered.

When you are on this board long enough believe you will see Americans getting criticized if they don’t fight overseas. Why do you think AJ / wilder never got done ??? Location and money were 2 big things for both of them . But understand this , wilder was in Russia ready to fight povetkin until povetkin failed his drug test , Spence went to England to dethrone brook. Brook cake to America to beat porter. I think the real issue here is , if Aj want to be a global champion and on the level of a great champion he has to fight and win ( which I think he doubts himself ) in America. No matter what Las Vegas is the fight capital of the world . Sure Aj packs 80k fans ( tickets are cheap) in the UK and is a PPV star there , but PPV over there are what $30.00 and here it’s like a $100.00 , that makes a difference. To sum it up Aj has hype built around him , from Hearn , to his record, to the 80k fans that goes to his fights , so America wants to see what his about and not just read about him on the internet.
It’s nothing to do with Ppv, or even AJ this was happening long before he came on the scene, so why you brought that up I don’t know...I’m referring to American fighters post Mayweather era...none show any interest in travelling and that’s new to me, I never seen any American fighters on here criticised for not travelling by American fans, the Same fans who criticise fighters not from the U.S for not travelling over there..the hypocrisy is frightening.

American fighters of eras gone by had no problem going overseas, take Sugar Ray Robinson (my favourite all time fighter) he had no problem travelling overseas to defend his belt and got respect because of it, and as stated before this is something post Mayweather era which the majority of the pbc crew seemed to have jumped on...this is not aimed as an attack on American fighters,,not at all some of my favourite fighters of all time have been American, i’m just stating the obvious double standards at play.

Lol newbie? When will you guys realise the boxing community extends much further than boxingscene.com, stop taking the consensus on the board as the consensus of the boxing community it’s really not.

I meant newbie on this board . I am sure you are a boxing fan and glad you can discuss things in a reasonable fashion. Sometimes this board will turn in a racist forum and replies are nothing but insulting. I brought up the PPV thing to kinda explain the hype behind Joshua and why Americans want to see him. Don’t forget though , like I mentioned earlier, wilder was in Russia to fight povetkin, Spence went to the Uk for brook, wilder even agreed to go the UK for Aj but not for a flat fee, which I don’t blame him cause what other undefeated HW champ and a fight of this magnitude, fought for a flat fee ?

Get out of here with that ****tt.

Ruiz is no idiot he’s doing exactly what he should be doing and that’s not letting himself be taken advantage of.

And the euro boys here hate it cuz Joshua isn’t getting his way.

Apologies my friend, wasn’t aiming to be insulting either, I’m also glad you can have a discussion in a amicable way too. Rereading your post I can see why you included the ppv point.

You also make good points about Spence, and up until becoming champion he showed a great attitude both in and out of the ring, since then not so much, my gripe is more with Haymon than the fighters, it’s like he try’s to use the Mayweather formula on them all.
