  • Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz's Trainer Voices Frustration Over Joshua Venue Reveal

Monday's press conference in London, England should reveal quite a bit about the forthcoming rematch between Andy Ruiz Jr. and Anthony Joshua. Among them, we will find out just how on board is Ruiz with currently announced plans. The defending unified heavyweight titlist has yet to publicly comment on the recent news of his hotly anticipated rematch with England's Joshua due to take place December 7 in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. Joshua, promoter Eddie Hearn and his Matchroom Boxing outfit all took to social media to reveal the news last Friday.

Andy Ruiz is refusing to sign the contract because they're only gonna give him a $9 MILLION cut of the $50 MILLION revenue. The fight might not even happen unless earn with Hearn coughs up some more money for Ruiz.

Ruiz just posturing to negotiate a bigger chunk. He is obliged to do the rematch otherwise he will be sued for everything he owns.

Andy deserves the lions share. He earned it. Him getting paid peanuts and owning the belts is humiliating and unfair. To win the biggest prize in sports and not allowed to benefit is perverse BS. Get your $50 mil and go to the UK Andy, like you said you would. Stand by your guns and don't be like other people we know.

It's not about deserving it, it's about contracts, he contractually agreed to a set amount in the rematch before the first fight.

He needs to STFU, AJ gave him the chance of a lifetime, and is doing it again.

This fight will happen, or Ruiz will be beltless.

He didn’t give Andy the “chance of a lifetime.” Miller failed a drug test and Andy was available and looked pretty beatable when he took his shirt off.

And he’s certainly not giving Andy the chance of a lifetime AGAIN. Last I checked, Andy Ruiz Jr is the heavyweight Champion of the World.

You guys are missing the point that aJ also had a agreed upon pay.

Hearn is raising AJs and not andys.

That is a breach of contract.

Court will determine who gets extra revenue. Not Eddie Hearn.

This is a lie . Ruiz was begging for the fight even making personal calls to Hearn after Ortiz and Kownacki turned the fight down after the Miller situation.

I don't think you know how contracts work.
