This is just revisionism. Americans never liked Lennox Lewis until after he defeated all the best heavyweights the US had to offer in that era and they had no legs to stand on. He was called glass jaw, gay etc., and that's for a guy spent over half of his career fighting in the US. The hate for Lennox Lewis was so bad that the politics kept him out of making big money in big fights against the 4 big American heavyweights of that era (Tyson, Foreman, Holyfield and Bowe). Lennox was treated like an outsider and even when Bowe refused to fight him - Americans supported Bowe (similar to how Americans stay supporting Wilder despite the fact that he is the one ducking AJ).
When AJ destroys Wilder in a one-sided fight where Wilder is going to get beaten from pillar to post, they won't have any other choice than to bow down to him. And it's going to happen before the end of next year.
