How much water does the Ring magazine and rankings hold in boxing? I would like to discuss this to get your opinions. I was just told by a fellow member that it was a joke??

The ring mag is becoming more popular than ever. Boxing fans are recognizing it more than ever because the corrupt belts are getting worse. Barrera dumped his belts...he knows he's the people's champion (RING) so did Tarver and Johnson. HBO would apologize to Ring if they don't mention that it is a recognized Championship fight (RING)
Their (ring mag) rankings are more recognized by fans...nobody cares anymore what you're ranked at IBF WBA or WBC. These alphabets don't go by their rankings anyway. You would see a contender number 9 or 8 fighting the champion.
