You think Relikh is better than Ivan???? Hahahaha. No, he is not. Relikh even lost to a shot Ricky Burns for crying out loud. Ivan would destroy him. in fact, i'd even slightly pick Ivan to beat Prograis too.Comment

Donaire had the same problems with the WBSS.
Shady af.
This type of business is not sustainable and it's bad for boxing. Boxers having to wait for the date, disrupting their training, constantly have to check on financial agreements, etc.Comment

The silence coming from the tournament organizers is pretty damning. Not a word yet. No official statement or rebuttal. The other side of this is also confusing, as I find it strange how the other finalists in the other divisions are not complaining. Only Prograis. Is the purse money there for the other fights?
This whole situation seems like an incomplete movie script. You know there are other characters that are needed to be a part of the plot, but those pages seem to be missing.Comment

Hmm so Prograis was the mando to Ramirez and didn't enforce it. Jumped into this tourney instead. Now he finally makes it to the only threat in the tournament in Taylor and he pulls out. The only 2 times he has been lined up to fight a legit threat he has somehow avoided these fights. WBSS hasn't had this issue in previous tournaments as far as I've heard. It seems this kid just doesn't wanna step up yet. He just wants guys he can blast out of there.
What are you talking about
Before this second series started they had problems financially
Then Baranchyk had to threaten legal action cause he was not given his due earned money
His fight with Taylor was in jeopardy , he was threatening to withdraw from tourney
Would you want to work and not get paid
And then Regis worried about fughin Josh Taylor , please
You guys throw around Ducking like the fughin WBC gives out beltsComment

You sound silly. Get in the ring and fight for non guaranteed funds? He has a family and a life to live, he can’t be jerked around because some promoter is short on $. Men don’t work for free that’s what ****** and children do, men get their moneyComment

You’d be wrong to pick Ivan over prograis bc of a win over a shot Alexander. He would lose to prograis easily, he’s slow as molasses and only won bc Alexander isn’t strongComment

That’s another scenario. Which could be true, but why send litigation papers though? Haven’t they paid him for all his previous fights. Am stil a bit confused by this. The final is set, we don’t have the venue and date but that isn’t usual.Comment

Hey Kafkod if you have been following the tournament Prograis was pulling out before the last fight as well until things were straightened out. Nothing to do with ducking Taylor.Comment

Have done a little digging, the tournament organisers did release a statement about defending their reputation (Lawying up if necessary). Reading between Team Pro and the WBSS, it seems Team Pro wanted some money in escrow. WBSS adding come up with that demand or didn’t want to acknowledge that demand, and now Team pro used that to pull out.The silence coming from the tournament organizers is pretty damning. This story isn’t adding up. But am hearing rumours that they had money issues, maybe that’s why Team Pro asked for money in escrow.Comment
