I thought the Saudis ponied up 100 mill. If that's the case Andy should get at least 20 mill. Or at least offer Andy some PPV cash. For ***s sacks.

They want to challenge the legality of this rematch clause in court anyhow. They believe it's unenforceable and non-binding to begin with.

This way they can prolong and delay the rematch for as long as they can in order to set up the undisputed bout between Wilder vs Ruiz; Early next year. That way Joshua would never get those belts back again.
Ruiz belts will be stripped one by one starting with WBO.

If they could they would have already.

If what hearns is saying is true, that the location was already predetermined in the rematch clause, him changing that location ti "Saudia Arabia" changes the terms and it opens it up for Ruiz to renegotiate his fees under these new terms. This is how athletes renegotiate their contracts all the time.

Not if he fights Deontay Wilder they won't. Remember that unifications and undisputeds have prevalence over mandatories.

Why the heck would they put this big of a fight in Saudi Arabia without testing the waters first? I’d put a small card on just to get the feel for the atmosphere. This is Saudi Arabia we’re talking about here, it’s a beautiful country but it’s a bit different from America and the UK. Has there ever been a big fight in Saudi Arabia? How would Saudi Arabia officials react to small things like the ring girls? This has trouble written all over it. Hearn is an idiot, Ruiz should just put the final nail in his coffin and send him back to the UK. He has done nothing relevant besides get lucky and land a Nigerian who could fight. As I said before he’d still be putting on Sam Eggington main events if it weren’t for AJ.

                Having Troubles Eddie?

I know some of you are busy having a Groupie Off/Civil War between PBC, DAZN, Matchroom, Top Rank or whatever but this goes beyond that. Andy beat him so he does have a say regardless of what he signed!

Going to Court will be the very last resort, everybody wants to make money ESPECIALLY Eddie Hearn so the last thing he wants is to go to Court and Drag this thing out. Court will NOT speed things up at all if anything it will make things far more Complicated.

Just give the man whatever he wants and lets make this damn fight already time is ticking! Just go back to MSG WTF!

Saudi clearly not ready for something this big if they have to rush and make something that holds 7,000 people by December? WTF?

Wilder will be busy fighting Ortiz. In the meantime Ruiz will be stripped by WBO(or fight usyk another hearn fighter), and then forced by Arum to fight pulev or vacate.

At the end of the day Ruiz has a signed contract, that’s the number 1 thing. If he signed to be paid 9m and they wanted to pay him 3m, then he would bring out that same contract and be waving it around for a court date.

Fact is they can choose not to pay him a penny or a cent over what was written in signed contract, but when it comes to mediating and just wanting to move forward with the fight and having a say because he is a champ now, then I expect Team Joshua to upped that 9m to recognise his new found status as the champ.

All these posters writing ✍️ here like they are lawyers who have experienced this before make me laugh. Go and read the Rahman/Lewis case and educate yourselves.

But Ruiz has the leverage and he's getting enough of a *****ty deal that he will probably end up getting what he wants.

With leverage, you can re-negotiate contracts. We see it happen all the time, someone signs a bad deal, they end up being worth way more, and the deal ends up being re-negotiated because of it.

                      Correct?
