While the legal battle is ongoing Eddie is missing out on his $100 mil Payday and AJ, his biggest money maker, isn't fighting. Well AJ could fight but you make nowhere near $100 mil fighting Pulev for the vacant IBF or Usyk for the vacant WBO. And you risk losing both fights. If AJ is gonna lose again you want him to lose for $100 mil not $30 mil.

Oh for sure, AJ would also lose out...but so would Ruiz and Haymon. Haymon's a very smart businessman, and it's very obvious a lawsuit would be a terrible business decision. It's an empty threat. This way they can prolong and delay the rematch for as long as they can in order to set up the undisputed bout between Wilder vs Ruiz; Early next year. That way Joshua would never get those belts back again.
