Really??? Prograis is both a pampered fighter that likes being blown up in Louisiana and a fighter that doesn't eat a punch very well. Hell of an excuse Regis, shouldn't the manager have this worked out and especially not drag you out of camp and partake in these politics. Then again I almost forgot, afraid of being exposed. Too many good cupcake fights in Louisiana. Figure to milk it as much as possible. Besides, Taylor isn't all that and no injuries so just fight!

Dont blame Prograis one bit. WBSS is shady as ****. Plus wtf is DAZN doing not wanting the fight on Oct 5th because of GGG fight. Wouldnt matter because one would be in the UK so time works out (going against college football will bomb, but would work for DAZN). What a shame and a mess

That's a shame. Comosa AG really bungled these tournaments.

Bring on Subriel Matias vs Taylor for Taylor's IBF title!

I've been saying that the WBSS business is not sustainable, no matter how good it is for the sport.

You are exactly right. Baranchyk tried this same tactic and they (wbss) very confidently issued a statement saying they have a watertight contract and there is no gettin out of it. Perhaps this is different with the missed deadlines and then the renegotiation of the payment amounts? I do hope they can work this out and have the fight....

Not getting his cash, still no venue for the final, soon to be relieved of his strap by Taylor... Regis has a lot on his mind right now.

Worst idea they had was trying to do so many weight classes at once. Last season proved me wrong: This idea can work. I thought it would be too hard to get all the ducks to walk right, and yet the first season went off with only a slight delay in the Super middleweight final due to a small injury.

This season shows what happens when you overreach. Maybe if they just had skipped the CW division, their resources would not have been so strained. If it comes back next year- and I hope it does- maybe just do one division a year. Rebound and recover, make it worth boxers and promoters efforts with a well run, focused, and profitable tournament. I bet it could last for a long time.

As for this- Prograis is one of my favorite boxers going. I hope this match gets rescheduled when the dust settles. It was a good match up.

They've been running this badly the whole season, not sure what went wrong, lack of money or a change in who pulled the strings behind closed doors but they almost had Donaire and Baranchyk withdraw and learned nothing from it because now they've lost the 140lb final. Real shame as Prograis-Taylor was gonna be great.
