More Juicy Canelo/GBP Beef Details….

On the Mannix podcast with Iole:

-Only contact Canelo has had before the latest meeting that took place on Monday with GBP has been through their publicist Ramiro Gonzalez and Roberto Diaz.

-Iole was surprised Canelo took a shot at Roberto since his wife is Canelo's assistant.

-Ryan Garcia will pursue a lawsuit against GBP.

-The meeting between Canelo/Reynoso's/lawyers/GBP/etc was VERY heated and Canelo has requested to see the books of GBP as he feels like he may have been cheated some money over the years.

-To the prior point, Iole thinks there is a solid/good chance Canelo also pursues legal action against GBP.

-Both Iole and Mannix suspect Oscar is going through his demons again and is upsetting everyone involved. He has been a no show to almost every GBP show as of late and Canelo has questioned him on being a no show to his own pressers.

-When Canelo agreed to his DAZN deal, MSG set up Canelo/Oscar to ring the closing bell of the NY Stock Exchange only for both being no shows after partying hard the night before. Of course, this REALLY ticked off DAZN and everyone involved in this.

Some good stuff in this podcast. Really just looks like Oscar's unprofessionalism is causing problems for everyone and simply put, Canelo may just have out grown GBP. If Canelo goes along with a lawsuit, this will get ugly and may put him on the shelf for a good bit which won't be good for anyone.

Iole said DLH has THIN skin and doesn't take well to criticism and has held grudges with Iole for years at a time for not liking what was said about him.

But I mean if DLH truly is off the wagon again and isn't even showing up to Canelo's pressers, then he isn't needed at all. Gomez and Diaz on the other hand are professional and have held it down at GBP for years.

I'm still not fully understanding what lawsuit Garcia will be pursuing here. Like we don't know what his deal states, but still I have a hard time seeing him having a case here. Though if GBP did have over a million license fee for the card and the card did over 150k in gate, getting 50k is a horrendous payday. Not sure what that was all about.

Hopefully Canelo uses GBP's failures, or rather Oscar's improper behavior of not showing up at pressers as a means of being able to get out of his contract for a reduced amount of money. If Oscar is back to being a drunk or a user, Canelo needs to get the F out and let the GBP tent fold behind him as he leaves. Oscar clearly is negligent (or negligee) if the information is correct. Yeah, I had to throw that stab in there at Oscar.

Sounds like the beef has spread to Gomez & Diaz doe. But yea I suspect & have long suspected Oscar is a mascot of Golden Boy then he's making day to day decisions.

I kinda don't see this KingRy thing going anywhere. And honestly I thought it was all figured out already with him getting a fight date just the other day.

But I just think he wants to be paid better & he should be & I suspect Golden Boy will come to the conclusion he should be paid better too so this is all just to let them know how serious he is.

I'm sure he signed a sh^t deal cuz EVERYONE signs a sh^t deal out of the gate more or less. But that doesn't mean you can't redo a bad deal when a guy has brought you as much value as Ryan is bringing Golden Boy. Granted its not all in boxing, but I'd argue his mainstream appeal is worth more to Golden Boy then if Ryan was just super popular among boxing fans. Ryan is bringing in potential new boxing fans which are a more highly sought after audience for boxing or it should be.

Yeah this is going to get UGLY indeed especially if it turns Legal and they have to go to court. Better off just coming up with a settlement on your own rather than having to deal with a damn judicial subpoena in which GBP would have to open their books and reveal A LOT which could lead to even more issues

Oscar issues is no damn surprise, it is kinda sad that nothing has changed with Oscar since the Haymon and Schaefer split. They wanted to buy him out from GBP because of his issues "Allegedly" and no it wasn't just Haymon, it was AEG and others as well. All those investors left with Schaefer!

Like Schaefer, I guarantee Eric Gomez is carrying GBP by himself right now along with maybe Monica Sears and Robert Diaz and a few others at GBP. While Oscar only shows up for Canelo Fight and maybe a few other fights in between and rarely comes to the office SOBER

Canelo's beef spreading to Diaz is certainly a problem as I've mentioned why.

Yeah, they can just start giving him more money or a percentage of the gate/license fee and that could be that. I just don't see from Garcia's perspective what he can get out of this lawsuit unless he truly is getting screwed somehow. Hard to see that though.

Maybe that is the answer honestly, For DAZN to Step in and rework his deal making it separate from GBP and giving him Full Control of his money and his Own Promotion
