Why is this a conversation. Thurman was mandatory to Floyd's WBC title and called him out incessantly. Floyd ignored it, cherrypicked Berto, and in the wake of Manny beating Thurman, now you got Larry making threads protecting Floyd from cherrypicking, and this thread is obviously downplaying Manny beating Thurman.

LMAO someone just dug up a thread of you saying how floyd needed to fight mosley after he jumped in the ring and confronted him and Floyd should stop avoiding him then after Floyd beat him you said mosley was old and Floyd cherry picked him lol. This is the exact reason why I made this thread.

This thread was not made to downplay manny beating Thurman. If you actually read what I said, I said that thurman would be a good win for anybody INCLUDING Floyd. It was about people trying to downplay floyd as they do after he beats a opponent.

Well the fights that you can say Floyd gets no credit for should be obvious by now, and I highly doubt any new information is coming out that is going to sway popular opinion one way or the other

Yes I said that, but the whole truth is Mosley was a year and a half out of the ring by the time they fought. Quite sure Floyds cherrypicking that right time to fight was based on that.

Canelo had just beaten an undefeated Austin trout who just beat cotto. Canelo was packing out shows stop acting canelo was just fresh on the scene and popped out of no where. People was saying floyd was ducking him just like he was ducking manny. But once again after Floyd beat them he was green and not ready but before the fight Floyd was supposed scared of him.

See Floyd fans don't like mentioning cw, and ignore people think nelo was no where near his prime, let's not say green, it upsets Floyd fans. Floyd fans like to say jmm win was great even with cheated scales and bloating. See they don't discuss shortcomings of floyds wins.

Thurman would be considered a bum overnight. Wins over porter,Garcia, Guerrero and the fact that he was a champion would mean nothing.

Why is nobody saying that pacquiao waited for Thurman to look bad in his last fight with Lopez ?(pacquiao has a strong history of doing this) Or that Thurman hasn’t knocked anyone out in years so pacquiao didn’t get a prime Thurman.


Floyd fights a younger fighter in canelo and they say he was too green and wasn’t ready when in reality they had damn near the same amount of professional fights when they fought lol. People forget Floyd was pressured into the fight with canelo because he was the new boogie man that was supposed to have floyd pissing the bed because manny was still fresh off the Marquez KO so they needed someone to be the guy floyd was ducking.

But manny beats Thurman which is arguably his biggest win of this decade and he is now considered fighter of the decade and the greatest fighter of all time smh.

Don’t get me wrong thurman is a good win for anybody including Floyd but when the future looks back on this time who would you rather have a W over Thurman or canelo?

Good points! Floyd is not liked by the press and lets face it does get sick to listen to him talk about money all the time. The thing is that's not what should count when your judging a guys life work and standing. Floyd will never get the credit he deserves from shi tty little writer's like doug fisher and steve kim and since most people are puppets who don't think for themselves or just don't have the understanding of being in a ring they just follow the herd. If Pac had won their fight their is NOTHING May could do to get back in convo on who was best of generation. Also your right a one sided win over a future HOFer in Canelo is better then a win over a 100% Thurman and its not even close.
