Comments Thread For: Yarde: I Laughed at Step Aside Offers - I Wanted Kovalev in Russia

Thats nonsense, Frank Warren said they was willing to step aside if Kov wanted to go for the Canelo fight. Kathy Duva said it didnt make financial sense to pay such a large sum to yarde (over a million $), when they could just wait it out and box canelo after. Kov has to be taking this fight seriously, he knows Canelo wants him next and thats a massive payday.

I've never seen this dude fight, but a lot of English dudes say hes no good. Can someone shed some objective light on how good he is?

No one believes this. He was ready to take step aside $$ if Kovalev fought Canelo, even Warren said so

I don't undestand English boxing fans. Yarde has more balls than 90% of of those guys. They bleed ink and humiliate themselves for pitty pat punchers and home town heros. Yarde is thier chance at a believable champion and they put him down. Yarde, if you read this, get your ass to work.

Yarde doesn't like to get hit, but he comes to drop bombs. He is quick and heavy handed. He looks muscle bound, so far I don't see any I'll effects. Compared to Kovalev, he might be faster and he is fresher by a mile. My only concern is him on the road. Somebody else told all the dirty tricks, like tooting horns to break his sleep, but that's the road.
