I think AJ had that in his mind after he knocked Ruiz down. He wanted to get Ruiz outta there in similar fashion but got clipped when he tried to finish & never recovered like Ruiz. I think the rematch is a winnable fight for AJ.

He's gonna get clipped again, more than once. As long as the fight lasts Ruiz will be ****ing him. AJ is in for a war. His mettle will be tested way more than in the Wlad fight. In every fight he's been hit well in, AJ gets close to folding. Ruiz will have him there many times in the rematch (barring shenanigans by the ref or other fight interference).

AJ is a good HW, but styles makes fights. His only chance is to find a way to hurt Ruiz. Even then he may go down. Ruiz will only go down on his shield. I don't think Joshua can do it. In any event, as long as it's a fair unimpeded fight, it's going to be a war ... for AJ. Another ****ing day at the office for Ruiz.

Bonus:a whole lotta somebodies are gonna have to stfu after this rematch (as long as shenanigans and hearn-anigans don't ruin the fight.

If you're gonna talk that nonsense, AJ has already told you to train and fight Wilder yourself. Otherwise shut your pie-hole, fleabag. If Aj is admitting his mind was on Wilder, don't you get it? You're forgetting that Joshua put Ruiz down for the first time as a Pro. The ability to hurt Ruiz exists but it has been quietly forgotten about. It was the reason Joshua went in hard and got exposed.

Joshua learned more about Ruiz than Ruiz about Joshua. I think the rematch will see a Joshua win but Ruiz will get a rematch clause and it'll go to a trilogy.

I didn't forget. AJ put Ruiz down but DID NOT hurt him ... there is a difference. Ruiz got up mad, and determined to get even. The rest is history ...

And this hearn supplied narrative that Joshua made a mistake by mixing it up with Ruiz .... he HAS to MIX IT UP at some point or we won't have a fight. AJ's mistake was the same as yours: he thought Ruiz was hurt after the KD.

PS - Mixing it up is called "boxing" or "fighting". It's what they're here to do. The alternatives are running or giving up. You can TRY to stay at distance, but sooner or later you WILL be mixing it up if anyone has some aggression in the fight. The "mixing it up" part is why I think Ruiz wins the rematch. AJ has not been forced to fight in his bouts. He's uncomfortable doing it.

AJ Learnt nothing.
He wont even remember the fight.

Ruiz on the other hand figured AJ out completely by end of fight. So badly that AJ quit rather than face him like a real boxer.
