hat fight will never happen. If Canelo meant to fight a top fighter like Benavidez at 168 he would have fought Callum Smith instead of Fielding who Smith KOed in 2 rounds before Canelo fought Fielding.

So instead of facing a young undefeated champion like andrade who is in his weight class, who was approved by dazn, he wants to wait for 36 yr old Kovalev who has lost 3 of his last 6? He also wants to face Kovalev on a quick turnaround from what could potentially be a tough fight for him with Yarde. This is likely an attempt for him to pretend that he's a 4 division champion, meanwhile, 168 is stacked with real champions that he's looking right past for Kovalev.

No, I don't think so. 5 years ago, sure, when he was Krusher. I think now he is looking to box more, post Ward. Yes he ko'd two guys since his last Ward loss but they were not Grade A competition. Alvarez TKO'd him when he gassed out but I was at the rematch and Sergey boxed great but cautiously. I think he would be cautious vs the Canelo as well.
