That is a real mismatch ...this guy is no Ruiz Jr.....but which ever way Wilder would take them both out Ruiz might stay around a little longer but would go the same way.
I like Kownacki but he isn't ready yet. Wilder would pound on his head. Adam has the chin to take it and may not get KO'd easily since he's a heavy guy but his health is important. Some guys ignore the signs just to finish the fight. Warrior mentality. Maybe Wilder won't be champ by the end of next year. Who knows. A lot can happen.
If Kownacki wants a belt, he should root for Ruiz staying as champ. That would be very entertaining to watch.
With zero D you would be asking a granite chin to take multiple right hand bombs per round from one of hardest punchers of all time. Flush as he is charging in I don’t think it’s humanly possible
I like Kownacki but he is really just a younger version of Arreola. His great chin & aggressive style makes for good fights but his take 2 to land 1 punch defence will catch up to him. He went 12 hard rounds with a 38 year old Arreola. His lack of power will also be his undoing. He landed a lot of punches to the faded Arreola & never took him out. Stiverne's wins over Arreola look a lot better now & shows the power he possessed as he dropped him a few times & knocked him out. He did that in his prime. The take 2 punches to land one defence didn't work for Stiverne or Arreola against Wilder. He will not be able to do that with Wilder. Wilder will either KO him or beat him into submission. Stiverne & Spzilka never recovered from the Wilder fights. Szpilka never had the best chin but he has been a steady KO victim since then & Stiverne got beat up so bad over 12 rounds his punch resistence has been gone ever since. No matter what you think of Wilder his power is devastating & ends careers. Kownacki is great to watch but his style is a big KO waiting to happen against Wilder. He isn't going to change to a more defensive style so I suspect the minute he takes a few big rights from Wilder he won't be so aggressive & that will allow Wilder to land more frequently which doesn't bode well for Kownacki...
you cant knock the manager for this though...its really the only way they can win...its almost too obvious that's this plan of attack is their only hope
I'm a wilder fan and it wouldn't shock me....all it might take is for wilder to miss a shot or two and get hit with something in return
I understand that kownacki seems tailor made for wilder....but there are many guys in here that have constantly knocked just about every part of wilders game....and are now acting like theres no way he can be beat by a B level brawler...when last year they were telling us how he got rocked by sconiers or some other no name bum and how he was losing rounds to literally everyone.....quite a change in tune now that some guy has "no shot"
