GGG sends DAZN letter to enforce contract. Canelo lawyers up

Ward who quit boxing?
Ward who would rather fight a dying man?
Ward who wanted 2 tune up fights?
Ward who literally fled away.
GGG didn't select Brook. Chris Eubank didn't want the fight.
Canelo went out of his way to fight Khan.
It's weird how GGG ran, but on the tape it appears as Canelo moving the most. Odd.
tell me who has.....
1) no titles
2) no chance of breaking Hopkins record
3) no signature win on his resume'
4) no $365m deal with DAZN
5) no pride
6) egg on his face
7) lumps on his face
8) the shlttiest fanbase in all of boxing

Oscar can sign anything he wants even if Canelo mildly indicated verbally - but that does not mean Canelo is obligated which is why there is a riff going on. Canelo has the last word on who he chooses to fight. And DAZN "considered the idea" is not something written in stone.
The media and overwhelming majority of people believe that Canelo is not forced by contract to fight GGG. Canelo already indicated he is not legally obligated to fight GGG and that is why the entire situation blew up between him and GBP. Again, Canelo has the last word on who he fights from a selection of viable/available opponents. If Canelo indicates that GGG has to win a title first and agrees on that basis, in writing, then he is obligated.
I've already said that it is useless going in circles with you and that if there is a possibility, against the consensus, that Oscar can force Canelo to fight GGG, then everyone will know soon. We are done here. If you want to continue going in circles, find a lamp post and walk around it for the next couple hours. Let me know how far you get from point A.Comment

A) because no fighter is ever forced to fight a certain fighter; everything is negotiable and B) Canelo recently said he is not obligated by any contractual clause to fight GGG! I already told you that and and unless or until till I see evidence to the contrary, that is where it stands. This is the last communication on this matter. I'm done here, if you can't accept that, then take your Prozac or I'll place you on ignore.Last edited by richardt; 08-09-2019, 06:35 PM.Comment

Now to shut your ass up for good! Read and weep you fking idiot:
June 14th: Asked if the third fight between Alvarez and Golovkin will happen, Gomez did not hesitate to respond.
“Well, it’s totally at Canelo’s discretion, whatever he wants to do,” Gomez said. “He’s in that position.”
Gomez on Wednesday said he and Golden Boy chairman Oscar De La Hoya were to sit down with Alvarez on Friday to begin discussing the possibilities. Again, Gomez reiterated he and De La Hoya don't make this decision. We’re going to do what Canelo wants to do. Alvarez calls the shots.”
Time for Shape up to crawl away with his tail between his legs! Bye bye punk! Stick a fork in you, you are done.Last edited by richardt; 08-10-2019, 02:00 AM.Comment

Depends what language is in the GBP-Canelo promotional contract. It is not uncommon for the promoter to have a signed power of attorney with the fighter. And if GBP has that power of attorney, then they have the legal right to bind Canelo to whatever deal they signed.
Will be interesting to see how this all plays out........Comment
