Comments Thread For: Browne Expected To Exercise Clause For Rematch With Pascal

NEW YORK Marcus Browne won't know for a while how long it'll take to completely heal from the disgusting cut he suffered Saturday night. The former WBA interim light heavyweight champion is sure that he wants a chance to regain his title and avenge his only professional loss. BoxingScene.com has learned that Browne intends to exercise a rematch clause in his contract that would guarantee him a second fight against Jean Pascal.

Nice to see Pascal rack up another W.
Truth be told, he should be thinking about calling it quits.

... "The former WBA interim light heavyweight champion" dragged Pascal out of retirement, instead of fighting the "full champion" in Bivol...

Funniest thing was seeing Browne before the fight proudly displaying those *interim* belts like they were World Champion Belts.

Looking forward to seeing if Browne calls Pascal "My son" again. He got what he deserved...

That Yuniesky Gonzalez fight was incredibly violent affair too. Gonzalez looked like a monster but Pascal survived his assault and got the decision. Gonzalez was throwing with real bad intentions but I think Pascal took something of him that night. He never looked the same.

                Hope Pascal repeats.

Browne is the dirtiest fighter in boxing and can’t believe he gets away with fighting the way he does. The second the other guy starts throwing punches, he LEAPS into them and bear hugs them in a way I’ve never seen so blatant and egregiously done, often causing a clash of heads. That was the reason for all the cuts on Badou Jack... that kind of behavior should get a boxer DQ’d. Period.

They have rematch clauses for interim belts now?

You win an interim belt and don't become madatory?
