Kownci reminds me of Canelo... both extremely overrated C- fighters that struggle against old fighters past their prime.

Prime, yea. But you can't stay prime forever. Just too bad for Chris that his prime was in an area with the two best HWs in a long time.
I actually know one of his trainers from his early days as a pro. He felt Chris had all the potential but his management steered him wrong.

Didn’t agree with such wide scorecards. There were many right hands that Kownacki ate that weren’t even covered while Lennox and Wilder were talking about their ***** to Albert and the Bootyhouse fantasies.

Other than that, entertaining fight. I thought Arreola easily won 4 rounds in the later half maybe 1 in the early six. Good body work by both.

But of course it’s the Barclays center and Brooklyn Boxing Haymon Polish crowds in the tri state area. Arreola wasn’t going to win going 12.

I thought Areolla won the last 2 rounds pretty convincingly....and if I remember correctly, maybe the 10th. Kownacki seemed to have the better power and probably the better chin but old, shot Areolla gave him HELL!

I thought Kownacki was going to kick the crap outta Chris and KO him before the 8th round , and I wouldn't have been surprised to see an early stoppage from Kownacki either....I'm a bit surprised by the result.

Damn, ....Areolla could very well have dusted Kownacki if he was still in his prime...Hard to judge these things. All we can say for sure is that he was in a very competitive and brutal fight in his "well-past-prime" years. I'd even have to say Areolla is shot at this stage. He's been in so many wars.

prime Arreola with two good hands,at the very least he gets a draw and could well win it.

Possibly but he was in great shape tonight. I don't actually believe Arreola was the same after Vitali battered him and that's more mentally. Kownacki beat a game Arreola not one just on 3 weeks notice to survive like wilder did and couldn't legit stop him then ,Arreola quit on his stool and he was half the fighter he was in that fight as tonight.
