Golden Boy is a pretty small stable. Their only champions outside of Canelo are Munguia and Rey Vargas. Then they have a few ranked contenders. Canelo leaving would be a disaster.

canelo singned a contract with gbp. The promoter will get pay no matter what. Just ask ginger what happened when he left Zabala (Am pretty sure he was the promoter)

BTW i have Canelo P4P right now but this is a business decision IMO. You make investments and you want returns. Just the way it works.

As a fan I want to see the rematch. BTW Canelo wins again. But I want to see it!

Golden Boy promised DAZN that Canelo would fight GGG in September. That was how they got their 50 fight $90 mil deal with DAZN. He wanted to fight Kovalev but felt Golden Boy wasn't trying hard enough to make the fight. So he had his people reach out to Kovalev. Then he found out Golden Boy made that side deal with DAZN and he was pissed. They never told Canelo. Remember Hearn said on Mannix podcast that Golden Boy promised DAZN that Canelo GGG 3 would happen this fall. Then Oscar got mad and tweeted to Hearn to mind his own business & he heard Hearn was having trouble making the rematch. Then Hearn said his fight would be made first.

It's clear that Canelo at this point in time has no intention of fighting Golovkin. As in never would be too soon for him.
