Golden boy dropped the ball and their decision making has been making Canelo look bad for yrs. After he demanded Lara and got a close decision, they stopped listening to what he wanted to do as a fighter, and decided they were going to be more strategic and business like with how they moved him. That's why he had 3 meaningless fights while delaying the ggg fight, it's why he dropped the wbc belt in the process of waiting out ggg(which he didn't want to do initially but went along with), and it's why he went from 3 mw titles just late last yr, down to 1, which is actually the most insignificant title organization of all of them.

Canelo should definitely sue the IBF. You are supposed to have one year before you have to face a mandatory or in the WBC's book you have 5 years. Haha Canela should also sue De La Renta

Good to see you always moving those goalposts, I mean why try and be consistent

Is Canelo the best fighter on the planet though? I don't think so in terms of pound for pound but he is one of the very best, with that resume. I also noticed that slight from Oscar, but it's true, Sergiy is not a fighter of huge stature and ability, but he's not too bad.

So...
We get Trip G against Devrechenko. A good match that will show where Golovkin is at and what he has left.
We get Canelo possibly (likely?) against Andrade, another good fight.
We get some Twitter tantrums that drive some great headlines.
This all possibly sets up GGG against Canelo 3 with even MORE juicy goodness to add to the dislike of the teams.
What was the downside of the IBF's action again to some of you? This is all gold to me.Last edited by landotter; 08-03-2019, 09:33 AM.

... right or not right?
As of July 31st I did not think GBP was ****** enough not to have outs and basically a 1 sided contract with DAZN in their favor despite the huge headline number because like you said this is a brand new entity who knows if they will hit numbers or have money in year 3. Now, who the hell knows. This seems headed to a courtroom.
