Golden Boy promised DAZN that Canelo would fight GGG in September. That was how they got their 50 fight $90 mil deal with DAZN. He wanted to fight Kovalev but felt Golden Boy wasn't trying hard enough to make the fight. So he had his people reach out to Kovalev. Then he found out Golden Boy made that side deal with DAZN and he was pissed. They never told Canelo. Remember Hearn said on Mannix podcast that Golden Boy promised DAZN that Canelo GGG 3 would happen this fall. Then Oscar got mad and tweeted to Hearn to mind his own business & he heard Hearn was having trouble making the rematch. Then Hearn said his fight would be made first.

Wow, that is something. Alvarez is being literally undermined by his own promoter. Sometimes, I wonder would Canelo be better off signing with Al Haymon and the PBC rather than Golden Boy and DAZN; Because so far it has done wonders for Manny Pacquiao's career?

He doesn't want to fight Golovkin again. Bottom line. All this could have been avoided if he rematched Golovkin.

DAZN USA is deep in the red, they don't understand the boxing world at all, they are like a fish out of water in this business. You are giving them way too much credit if you think they somehow plotted this out, they are too incompetent. if Bullshltkin happily faces Derevyanchenko for the vacant IBF strap, to make the trilogy fight with Canelo possible..... AFTER insisting that challenging Andrade and Charlo for the WBO/WBC titles made "no sense at all"..... then I will have some awkward questions for the Golovkin fans

No one wants to take that risk when theres a lot of investment. Too much money to be made on the rematch. If GGG or Canelo loses then all that money is gone.
