If he fights a better fighter or at least someone as good and/or a more popular fighter which is a bigger fight, then you can't call it a duck. Sorry.

GGG was stripped of the IBF for fighting Canelo instead of SD and that didn’t stop Canelo fans from calling it a duck.

He was stripped for fighting Vanes which was an unsanctioned fight. They were willing to sanction it if Golovkin agreed to fight Dev next, but Golovkin did not. So you are wrong.

People think GGG was stripped for fighting Vanes, when like you said, he was actually stripped for fighting Canelo. If he had fought Derev after Vanes, he would've kept the belt. Right on cue, the tune changes with these guys.

He fought Canelo after Vanes instead of SD, a bigger name.

So just like you said, you can’t call it a duck!

LoL, nice correction. Barrett likes to believe no one pays attention to details, and that he can lie and get BS concurrence from shady "internet" fabrications to mask the nonsense. Must be boring in the UK ... they waste so much time with BS.

                How can the diva duck?
Remember the diva told us fear left Mexico when he was born.
The Mexican don't fight much, but he don't *** around either.

He was mandated to fight Dev and he chose to fight Vanes instead. Golovkin wanted and exemption and they were willing to give him one if he fought Dev after.

So yes Golovkin chose to fight both Vanes and Canelo over Dev. Vanes being an easier opponent and a smaller fight than Dev makes it a duck.

"the IBF had to enforce the penalty under Rule 5H for Golovkin having participated in an unsanctioned contest within his weight class and declare the IBF Middleweight title vacant."

After a lengthy review and period of deliberation the International Boxing Federation has vacated the IBF Middleweight title held by Gennady Golovkin since October 17, 2015, as a result of Golovkin not accepting one of the conditions put forth by the organization to grant him the Exception to Regulations to fight Vanes Martirosyan on May 5, 2018 which was not sanctioned by the IBF.

Who's lying? IBF clearly said he was stripped for fighting an unsanctioned contest against Vanes.
