Also, 2 weeks ago anything the WBC does, says, writes, etc, is as criminal and backhanded as it can be, and all done to benefit there preferred stars and can't be trusted for anything, but in this case, if a WBC official claimed the gloves were good, that is to be believed without question? NOW they're a trustworthy honest Abe?

Also, would the WBC accept a written protest over something that they supposedly just accepted and cleared 20-30 mins beforehand? Can someone link where it's being said that the WBC was cool with the new gloves? I've read that claim a few times in forums but haven't read it anywhere closer to an official source.

If they aren't then the fight is delayed until they come to an agreement or put the original gloves back on. As Russ said the original gloves were not used by anyone else so they had to be there.
Hearn said a WBC official inspected and OK'd the new gloves with Anber and Yvon Michel present. The WBC would also have had somebody in Whyte's dressing room when he had his hands wrapped and gloved up. It was a WBC sanctioned fight. They would have been overseeing everything.

Here's a link to a recent podcast with Russ Anber that goes into a little more detail on the Whyte-Rivas GloveGate.

The WBC, as well as the BBBoC, had an inspector present during the whole procedure with the gloves. If there were any rule infringements they wouldn't have sanctioned the fight.

Whyte had a problem with his selected gloves. What were they supposed to do .. call off the damned fight?
If there was a fatality or severe head trauma in the ring and with these irregularities I doubt it. Seriously the situation was not handled properly. He said that this was completely different to any other dealings he has had with the BBoC. In fact he went out of his way to praise the BBoC in general. Russ said he had no qualms about telling Arum that the BBoC was a great organization and would treat Lomochenko fairly. How about the official denying the use of the backup gloves because the promotor didn't carry them into the room when the promotor was standing right next to him.
So there were two controveries about gloves and one controversy over drug testing. All in one fight.

Hearn wasn't there, Russ was. He said Hearn is relaying information that was given to him. So Hearn is being lied to or he's lying. Why did Whyte leave his gloves on after the fight and nobody was allowed to inspect them?

Frank Smith, Matchroom CEO, was there, arguing with Anber saying things like "C'mon Russ, stop arguing, you can trust me, I give you my word".

Hearn likely knew what was going down and sent Frank Smith as the Matchroom spin man.

They can't keep their story straight. First it was an undercard fighter who used his gloves. Now it's his hand couldn't fit the original gloves.

Russ said he was not present when the gloves were put on.

As always there are two sides to every story but that's my feelings about how this fight was handled.

And a WBC official was also there. The WBC are no friend of Hearn and Whyte. If everything wasn't above board and compliant with their rules, they wouldn't have sanctioned the fight.

Again, a WBC official would have been present when Whyte was gloved up.
