I predicted something like this would happen. It looks like Team Ruiz and Team Joshua are headed to arbitration or at the very least court over the rematch venue; Now the sanctioning bodies are going to have to make a decision on whether or not to start calling in their mandatories.Comment

Mandatories supersede rematch clauses as far as the IBF is concerned. So now Andy has to make a choice on whether or not to immediate rematch Joshua or face getting stripped of his IBF title.Comment

WBO Comes 1st
I thought the court ruling from the 1990s set precedent in this situation. If I'm not mistaken, the heavyweight title was in the same situation and the the court ruled an order for the sanctioning bodies to take. Povetkin was the WBA mandatory fight and it's the WBO's turn next. They recently named Usyk their mandatory challenger. If the WBO wants to pass on enforcing it at this time, then the next up would be the IBF.
Looks like the WBO and IBF will need to decide who comes next and if a rematch can take place first.

Ruiz is contractually mandated to fight Joshua. The IBF will be fine with the rematch! After Ruiz crushes the robot again then things will get interesting!Comment

Ruiz has backed down from his "not going to UK" claim, he really doesn't have a say in the matter anyway (provided the rematch clause was tight).Well Barry hearn said at the beginning of the week that the ruiz v aj rematch had to be all sorted and announced this week and still nothing, and with all the problems with whyte going on ruiz has stated he is NOT coming to the UK for that fight, so I would not be surprised to see the IBF make there title vacant if they feel the big money fight is in trouble, they will go where the most money at the end of the day.
Ruiz wanted to box in Mexico so he can't seriously worry about corruption being a factor.Comment
