You can avoid a rematch clause by vacating and sitting out.

No you can't. By retiring until the clause expires you can. We don't know the clause expiry date. Could be years.

So his options are don’t do the rematch and be considered a real champion who beat Joshua by knockout and someone anyone would have to beat to establish themselves as a true heavyweight champion...

        OR

He can fight Joshua in England, where Joshua will be allowed to use steroids and pick gloves that weren’t agreed on. Joshua will also have a referee and three judges in his pocket.

Ruiz could win every second of the fight and lose on the cards. He’d probably also get disqualified for knocking Joshua out.

        It’s so not worth it.

Great advice. You should be guiding fighters careers.

Would retiring look something like vacating and sitting out?

          LOL

Canelo 118 GGG 110. Adalaide Byrd in the USA. You show me a worse score card than that outside of America.

I think all these Deontay Ruiz fans feel like Joshua is going to beat Ruiz and they just cant stand it and are wishing and praying so hard that this rematch doesnt happen.

I don’t care if Joshua beats Ruiz, I just think avoiding a set up would be smart for Ruiz.
