Ruiz should vacate and wait for DW-TF winner

He already beat Joshua decisively. He has nothing to prove and the titles he has absolutely worthless at heavyweight anyway. Everyone knows the rematch will be against the fourth and fifth best heavyweights in the world.

Especially if the fight is in England, where they’ll force you to fight a steroid cheat with unapproved gloves, it isn’t worth it.

Just wait for the Wilder-Fury winner and fight for the WBC and lineal title.

You want a world champion to vacate his belts? Before he has even defended them?

Yea that 1 or 2 million pay day he may not even get is more logical then the one hes going to get for Joshua . lol Ortiz got 500K what does Ruiz get with no belts and no leverage ? lol

I don't know the specifics in the contract. I'm just a fan that's watched boxing for a long time. I believe the threat of vacating belts is to encourage the former champion into giving you better terms than what is in the rematch clause. Vacating belts doesn't get you out of the rematch clause though. The rematch clause just forces you to fight. The belts have nothing to do with it. The threat of vacating though can sometimes get you additional leverage, but it can't get you out of the deal.

Brant beat Murata decisively in their first fight too...

He has to give AJ his rematch or he ducked him

Yeah he should pass up that 10 million pay day and wait another year for a Wilder fight rather than Beat Joshua again and become the man in the division.

Makes sense nowhere but on this forum

I wish there was a way to see Andy vs Wilder first, but this rematch needs to happen next. Still will be intriguing, but can't happen next.

Vacating before a first defense would be madness, especially considering Andy was struggling in life not long ago and finally got to this point. A champion.

What will vacating do? He signed the contract, the titles didn't.

Yep vacate 3 belts and give up a huge payday to fight for 1 belt in a fight that you might never get, for much less money if you do.

Great advice. You should be guiding fighters careers.
