Even more so didn't the article say they inspected and OK'd TWO pairs? Then he didn't wear either pair? Uhm.... they gave both pairs to different fighters?

Exactly. What headliner gives his glove to some undercarder when he's in line to fight for HW title, I told the other poster who wants to accept the surface of things regardless of how absurd.

All they have to do is get the other fighters under oath and ask each one that was wearing that weight glove if they got it from Whyte or his team. Check It: Make that any weight glove as they do look small as compared to his opponent in pics.

This is far worse than minute amount of drugs IMO.

In this one, it appears things are unraveling for the perps.

Just because Whyte said the gloves were taken doesn’t make it true though. At the fighter meeting there would have been a few pairs approved. Backups too. There’s no excuse that all of the gloves vanished and that Anber wasn’t allowed to inspect.

Pre fight, Kevin Barry's son had to tell AJ to stop manipulating his gloves in the changing room. It's on film in the parker doco. AJ spent most of warm up pushing padding around in his gloves.

Takam fight he got cut way too easy, I suspect dodgy gloves involved there too.

You CAN be a Ruiz Jr. fan without being a fan of Wilder though. I was a big fan of Andy before the Parker fight. The guy is entertaining in the ring, and is honestly the nicest ****ing guy you'll ever meet. I've had conversations with him a number of times and he is legit just as sweet and polite as he seems on television. I'm incredibly happy for the guy.

No its not,fighters are allowed to custom fit the gloves as they see fit as long as they don't pull any stuffing out. Mike Tyson used to hit walls to get less cushion on his knuckles. The gloves cannot go out into a fighters dressing room until they are checked and approved by the commission so all of this is nonsense from you ,what new ? Ha

Honestly he fought well against Rivas in terms of boxing skill. And he does hit hard but if needs PEDs to win he has to be lacking in some ways. A top 10 fighter, no longer top 5

I always liked Ruiz although he has been acting a bit weird claiming he gets to choose where the AJ rematch is when we all know that's not what he would have signed up to. I am looking forward to seeing him in more top fights now

As for Wilder I rate him as no.1 but I want him to prove he is no.1. If he retired now, he would be a footnote in the heavyweight division, known only for his huge power and wins against Stiverne, Ortiz and a close draw against Fury. I am genuinely still unsure about him. All it takes is for him to lose one fight - look at AJ - and people will be revising their opinion. So I just want him to fight the guys in the top 5 and to fight some more big punchers.

And now he's had 12 rounds experience he will catch Fury with a big punch, much earlier in their rematch. I do remember Peter Fury saying before that fight that Fury hadn't got his power back yet. If that is true it could make it harder for Wilder but I still predict Wilder knocks Fury out in their rematch.

I disagree about Fury being no.1 right now. He needs to beat some top 10 opponents first. He doesn't have enough power to stop pretty much any top 20 fighter and so would have to go 12 rounds with them. I think that's the whole reason he has been fighting bums. It's risk-avoidance

Having said that I am predicting Ortiz beats Wilder in their second fight (just on a hunch) I think it's a big risk Wilder taking that fight when he doesn't need to. If he wins - he beats a 40 year old Ortiz, if he loses, people will be questioning everything. It's a no-win fight for Wilder. Ortiz has everything to win.

The Ortiz rematch is a big needless risk. But as a boxing fan, I like it. It’s a good fight. If wilder is legit about going into the first fight with a flu though (reason he weighed in so low) then it could also be an earlier night for Ortiz.
