This is what happens when there isnt a single entity in charge of a sport; whose interest lies not with making money off the success of a single competitor, but in making money off the success of the sport as a whole (Commissioner).
Until then we are stuck with Haymon, De la Hoya, Hearn, Arum, etc. swinging judges and commissions into their favor. The sad thing is, many fans remain sycophants to one of these men and will denounce the other three while acting as if their guy is benevolent.Comment

We couldn't examine the gloves and when we protested we were told ‘too bad’ by the Board officials
Fighters around the world need to make the statement that practices going on in the UK are not acceptable and fighters will not take fights there until reform is made.Comment

Russ Anber, a member of Oscar Rivas' corner and CEO of Rival Boxing, detailed the events that prompted to their team to file an appeal with the WBC, regarding the selection of gloves by Dillian Whyte. The appeal was filed before the contest took place on Saturday night, which saw Whyte win a twelve round unanimous decision to capture the WBC interim-heavyweight title.

Either we inspect the hand wrapping and the mystery gloves or we don't leave the dressing room.
Looks like Whyte wanted every advantage before and during the fight.
UK boxing authorities suck if this is true.Comment

I'm saying mouse nuts because I'm not going to draw the conclusion the gloves were loaded and Rivaa face didnt look like he was being hammered by loaded gloves and from what I read, Dillian was griping about not being able to use his usual gloves, because his gloves were given to one of the fighters on the undercard. The PEDS are the real and confirmed issue compared to the gloves. But I do want to know if the glove sizes were changed in the process.Last edited by richardt; 07-25-2019, 06:15 PM.Comment

He's the main draw, the big kahuna about to get a mandatory HW title shot.
Gave his gloves to an undercarder. Sure.
Everthing needs to be questioned.Comment
