That said, Wilder is right, this does need to stop. Too many top fighters are getting popped and should not be allowed to have that unfair advantage. No fighter should.

Most top-level fighters are on something, whether they get caught or not. Let's not fool ourselves. You can't compete just with your actual physical strength in a world of cheats.

Btw, Whyte is enrolled in exactly the same WBC/CBP/VADA/356 program as Wilder is yet he got caught by UKAD, not WBC/CBP/VADA/356. That tells you how successful WBC's CBP program is. It's just on paper.

We should probably wait until 1) Whyte is confirmed as having taken PEDs and 2) the actual prohibited substance found in his system is publicized; before this becomes an indictment on the WBC CBP, which is a deterrent not a fail safe program. Wilder, like many other fighters pay for extra testing when a fight is signed. Something I wish all fighters did.
