Oh no question. Ito was the betting favorite that night. Herring showed he's a decent boxer and while I get it's a unification perhaps for Berchelt he's not an interesting opponent since a win over Herring isn't making a big statement. Think about it. What does every fighter want? To prove they are the best in the sportComment

So you're basically saying that Berchelt is afraid he might lose to Herring and should only accept this fight to unifyComment

Yes he is afraid to lose. If he wasn't he would trying to unify his division like Crawford, Canelo, Usyk, Loma. All fighters who have earned more prestige(by unifying) and way more money than him. Instead he talking that Keith Thurman marinate bull**** because the Japanese fighter who was a face first brawler with little skill lost. That and name dropping people he will never fight like Gary Russell likes to do.Comment

Well, it's like you said, realistically what bigger fights are there out there for Berchelt? Removing Herring from the equation, who would you want as his next opponent? The people really want to see Loma or Davis with Berchelt but we know that's not gonna happen. That being said, his next opponent may be an unknown as a stay busy fight. At the end of the day the man has to provide for his familyComment
