Berchelt is one of those fighters who earned his. Nothing was handed to him.

Never said he didn't earn his spot! He's a great fighter! However, Lomachenko is "the big prize," and it so happens that they have the same promoter, and fight on the same network! So he can either sit tight and fight his mandatories, or he can go after "the big prize!" Lomachenko vs. Berchelt is way overdue!

I think it's to do with the fact that it's only Herring's opinion that that's why Berchelt doesn't wanna fight him. I doubt it's one he believes too much either.
