The entire time, the whole history, has duels to go along side it. From 300 to 1720 duels were much more popular than sport. No one connects those duels as boxing history, they connect bare knuckle boxing as boxing history....because it is. They connect ancient Greek boxing because it is.


So, y'all can cry all you like about rule changes and the existence of other forms of organized fist fighting not being boxing, it doesn't change what the history of boxing is and Greek is the origins of the sport you watch now.

Greeks invented the concept but in no way did they invent sport boxing to where it is formatted into an actual sport, those are the facts.
