I read that Eddie Hearn is threatening legal action saying that it will end horrifically for Andy Ruiz if he does not honor the demands set by AJ in the contract.

I do think Ruiz has some leverage here. Maybe his side see a loophole. None of us know the language in the contract so it’s all speculation right now.
Indeed, who knows, none of us have seen the contract.

That said, Eddie is a shrewd man and will have the best lawyers drawing up contracts, i’d be extremely surprised if he didn’t have everything covered in his favour when making a rematch clause for his hottest property.

I think people are just making more out of it than it is. I believe it’s just a case of them finding a date and venue to satisfy the broadcasters and that’ll be it.

In terms of the fight itself, i think both teams know that it has to happen next.

What great dereliction of fiduciary duty by Eddie Hearn? Once again he has failed his client AJ. I told you he was dumb. However, you didn't believe me.

How the fuck do you omit something as important as the venue in writing on a rematch clause? Like I said this situation could be dragged on for several months in court before there is ever a resolution

By the time they reach a resolution Andy Ruiz probably would have lost all of the belts by then in defending them against Deontay Wilder in an Undisputed World Heavyweight championship bout.
Well, he owes his career to AJ by signing the next step he takes in his career away for a fight. And it's either he honours the contract or retire. AJ dictates his next fight and owns him, pending what happens in the rematch. That's just how the business is and I'm sure Ruiz's handlers understand this.

We both agreed yesterday that Hearn is a dumb Mfer but that's beside the point here. This is about a rematch clause. Legal language doesn't need to be definitive, as long as it gives you power and puts you in total control. And the rematch clause stated in clear terms that Matchroom/AJ would pick where the rematch is taking place. Ruiz, DAZN and Skysports have no input in that, especially Ruiz and DAZN (AJ isn't signed to DAZN).

Say Ruiz loses all the belts, AJ would be in pole position for fight for at least 2 of those belts like Wlad did with AJ. I don't know about WBO - but I know WBA and IBF would most likely let him fight another top contender with the chance of regaining those belts, since he's still the biggest cash cow in the division and they need the sanctioning fees. Ruiz on the other hand would lose the appeal he has right now and go back to fighting in-front of 500 people and earning crumbs. So, why throw away an opportunity to earn extra $10 million and a chance to keep those belts, for a return to the bottom of the pile?

You and Wilder can keep dreaming about Undisputed Champion but higher minds know Wilder would've to go through the guy he stays ducking, AJ, to get there. AJ will make Ruiz quit in the rematch, as long as he stays with the double jab and takes his time. Ruiz is one dimensional like Rivas with fast hands.

That's what I said in my thread because its basic practice that rematch clauses can't be compromised when one gets an opportunity and Ruiz was a hand picked opponent ,he cannot dictate any terms from the first contract that has those stipulations Ruiz agreed to. Only here will you find really bizarre posters who think Ruiz is an A side now. I actually hope its in the U.k now just because these certain posters exist. Ha

LMAO. A 41-yr old part-time boxer stays destroying all your young overrated welterweight champions and reconstructing their faces and he's about to clean up the whole division. American level is lower than European level since Europeans dominate boxing right now. So, AJ is alright being at European level, since European level is the highest level in boxing at the moment. Your overrated bums in America need to start travelling, they don't have two heads.

Ruiz needs to bring his fat bum here and get knocked out cold for 50,000 boxes of snickers.

Rematch in Cardiff on Dec. 14. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Ruiz may be obligated to a Joshua rematch but the more Hearn talks it doesn’t seem like he’s obligated to fight him in his backyard and if Joshua was anything close to a champion it wouldn’t matter where he fought Ruiz

According to Hearn, what I read was that Andy Ruiz agreed to and signed the contract that had stipulations with the rematch and that one of the stipulations is that Anthony Joshua gets to choose the venue that the rematch takes place.

All will come out soon regarding this situation. We'll see what happens.

Well its standard practice .Only people who find it difficult to understand simple things and that Ruiz was giving the opportunity that he can't decide much on the fight knowing if he won what comes after unless he had just said give me the pen and he signed away? Ha

If you see these types of posters on this very thread these posters are the ones who usually I try and stay away from. Ha
