He should probably call it a day. He’s taken a lot of punishment and been too tough for his own good.

He’s overachieved really in the sense he’s basically a journeyman but made very good money for someone at that level. Even headlined at the o2 v Browne. So he’s had an extremely charmed career considering his talent level and fair play to him for that, he made the most out of very little but i think any more will just be detrimental to his health. You have to be healthy enough to enjoy the few quid that you made.

Haha poetic justice but seriously Allen is a good fighter. Price hits very hard and actually boxed well. Looks like Pricey has finally learnt something from his loses.

If he is a real fighter he'll come back better. Fighting isn't just about winning it's about improving and learning from defeat.
In all fairness, you’re taken Allen’s quote a bit out of context or at least copied a clickbait IFL title. If you watch the interview, He did say AJ quit but never said he should move to an island BECAUSE he quit. He was saying if you’ve made so much money out of the game and just going to get stick from the public for losing, why bother? in the sense AJ doesn’t need the stress when he doesn’t ever need to work again and could just go and enjoy his life.

Obviously that’s not AJ’s mentality and he’ll fight on.

It's funny because that idiot Allen doesn't even realise he IS living on an island already

I was really pulling for allen n actually thinking he could make a little noise, but after that underwhelming n quitting performance, i have no desire to see him fight again.

Yeah, you're right, I was being obtuse. I couldn't be bothered to watch the whole interview again.

I don't know what he was on about with AJ though. Why would any fighter give up because he gets stick or loses? I remember the memes and gifs when Whyte got KO'd by AJ. He's doing great now. Hope Allen doesn't give up - Price didn't.

Probably a good idea. Boxing is good if you are a great boxer or if you wanna parlay some quick money outta it that you might not be able to make elsewhere. I mean people say boxers at the bottom are low paid, but sh^t where you getting 2k for 24 minutes or less of work as the B side in some 8 round fight without committing a crime? And if you are lucky like Allen has been & got it in good with a promoter who's pushing you a lil bit & you got some skill & can get as far as Allen has gotten take advantage of that sh^t too. I just don't see the upside with taking too many beatings or risking more serious long term damage that these guys who are consistently overmatched.

If this was a guy with no other prospects then I’d say maybe he should take a few days to consider but I think he is right. It’s time for Allen to get back to a regular job before the damage he’s taking eliminates that option.
