No matter how you look at it floyd is above manny.

I have no respect for a guy that waits till they get a little older to fight them. I think people will remember manny Pacquiao more than mayweather when it’s all said and done.

I can think of a couple of examples where we rate someone higher than someone who beat them

People wanted the fight without cw but nobody was saying it was a historically great fight for Floyd as Floyd was beating a great champ. People thought it was too soon for nelo. Nelo was unknown so they fast tracked him to become known with ssm fight. Nelo only win of note was trout as he’d beaten cotto. But even trout was one hit wonder.
PACs always been above Floyd even when koed by jmm and losing to floyd. People may have naively thought otherwise. But that’s down to naivety
The fight sold out in hours(I was at the fight) and sold over 2 million Ppv buys canelo was very well known back then so stop that he wasn’t popular back then talk. If it was to soon then when was the right time for Floyd to fight canelo? When he is 42 years old?

And I can’t remember which commentator said this but go back and watch when Floyd was walking to the ring and one of them said floyds legacy depends on this fight.

And as far as the catch weight goes canelo relative to Floyd was a big boy to him so a catch weight which Was offered by canelo wasn’t far fetched.

And Pac would rank higher than floyd if he beat floyd which he didn’t so unless he did that than no he will never rank higher than floyd.

Well said. It's about facing the adversary head on.

Cherry pickin' ain't gonna cut it.. Too many retirements, dodging and fake wins won't climb you up the ladder of ATGs.

When it comes to skill he is, I mean he beat pacquiao and when you look at the overall resume there is none who can come close to floyd, beating the likes of gatti, corales, canelo, first man to beat hatton, cotto, maidana, pacquiao etc etc BUT with fights like the two he had against the clown mcgregor and that Japanese dude he made himself look bad, I can't blame him for making millions the easy way but for true boxing fans that was rubbish. Pacquiao to me did more for the sport and boxing fans, beat an unbeaten fighter 10 years younger than him..we should appreciate that, looking forward to his next fight something no one can say about mayweather.

Anyway, If you wanna compare their careers then you could say Pac has had a better or more exciting career but Floyd was a still the better fighter anyway.

he looked shot to **** vs mcgregor

Even tho mayweather is retired i must say mayweather definitely will get clowned on for fighting another mma guy while manny just beat thurman. He should just stay retired he has done it all.
