Interesting, Rivas seems to have a much longer reach than I thought. Isn't he just over 6ft? Admittedly I haven't seen that much of Rivas bar the Jennings fight and some highlights of his other fightsComment

Wilder turned down a bigger offer to fight AJ in the UK for all the belts. He turned it down and then refused to even talk about making an AJ fight in the future. Bet he feels ****** now. There's a reason Ruiz now has more belts than Wilder
And don't bring up the fake 50 million. Wilder's team were asked for proof of funds and they couldn't provide it. Anyone can say "I'll give you 50 million" and make a press release out of it for all the gullible fanboys to believe
Whyte was lowballed and given no time to prepare against an opponent who had already KO'd him. He would have been ****** to take that fight at that time.Comment

For Jennings to have a 9 inch reach advantage over Rivas he would need a 86 inch reach if Rivas has a 77 .Comment

People are going to see the size difference here, the reach is significant in the way they throw the jab,Whyte uses more distance where Rivas is square making him the shorter range puncher.
Unless Whyte has a real sloppy night he loses, if hes on point hes either going to stop Rivas or be to physical and drain him in a ugly fight.Comment

7 inches. My mistake. Was going off memory instead of boxrec.

It’s why Rivas didn’t go to the body. He’s usually relentless with body punching but Jennings small frame compared to his long arms protected his body too well.
Some guys are freaks like that. Rivas is 6’0 with a 77 inch reach. Jennings is 6’3 with an 84 inch reach, meanwhile Fury is 6’9 with an 85 inch reach.
Pretty sure Ortiz had the reach advantage over Wilder too, but he was dwarfed height wiseLast edited by _Rexy_; 07-19-2019, 05:43 AM.Comment

Yeah that's one of the things David Haye mentioned previously when talking about sparring Whyte. He said his jab was long and very difficult to get aroundPeople are going to see the size difference here, the reach is significant in the way they throw the jab,Whyte uses more distance where Rivas is square making him the shorter range puncher.

Wow! You really are a doctor at being a rassclart! Don't you come out from under your rock for anything else? Where was Bermane ranked when Wilder fought him (1st time)?? Wasnt one of the guys who tested for PEDs a GOLD medal winner in the olympics? Wouldnt he have been a suitable challenge for Wilder to prove his worth! Are you sad that your homebody reluctant idol robot came to Yankee Land and got LAID OUT by a guy whose training regimen consists primarily of eating cake? Didnt Tyson say 'no go' to the rematch that Wilder so PASSIONATELY wanted?? Wilders on TOP - for now!! Even your racist passion can't squelch that! Have a wonderful day!!Comment

IDK ,I learned with a fighter like Whyte its best to wait until the weigh in to predicting fights where he could be more heavy footed . I see this going 8/9 rnds if Whyte stops him,he really shouldn't be weighing over 250 but somehow I don't think that's happeneing .
Rivas is really quick and compact .Whyte could make the fight less harder here but I doubt he will he should be 245 not 255 for faster reaction time .Last edited by juggernaut666; 07-19-2019, 06:32 AM.Comment
