This is bad business from people who DKSAB. No wonder Canelo is pissed.

They can try to keep the belt by making GGG fight Dervy for the vacant title. That would be a smart move.

Canelo doesn’t give a **** about belts and so does DAZN. If he doesn’t bend over, he can sit on the bench. DAZN has deep pockets. At the end, Canelo will be a good ***** and swallow.

Yea man. Who else is going to bring in hundreds of thousands of subscribers? Baseball?? Lolololol

DAZN’s “RedZone-Like” MLB Show a “Complete Dud”, Makes Similar NBA/NHL Programming Unlikely

Sports by Brooks and Front Office Sports reported that DAZN is interested in producing live NBA and NHL whiparound shows (think: NFL RedZone) as they’ve done with MLB, but sources tell JohnWallStreet that “ChangeUp has been a complete dud. While the show is well produced, it simply hasn’t driven new subs as hoped.” The decision to invest in ChangeUp – “a particularly costly way of getting into business with the league” – was said to be “mainly [executive chairman John] Skipper’s”, so we’ve heard that “there’s now a sense of vindication within the building among those who had opposed it.” The perception exists that with NBA and NHL whiparound shows bound to experience a similar fate, “unless John is making decisions unilaterally, DAZN won’t be making the same mistake again.”

He was caught between a rock and a hard place because DAZN only offered him two options; Either Golovkin or Kovalev. Which means he couldn't have become the undisputed Middleweight champion of the World against Demetrius Andrade who currently holds the WBO Middleweight title either because it was fight they didn't want as well.

He spoke loud and clear by giving up the September date.

DAZN can only justify GGG’s pay should it have been in September. As the years go by, the Canelo vs GGG interest fades. However, that’s it Canelo’s business. Fans will tune in to watch Canelo like film buffs loving their weekend flicks with a tub of popcorn and a coke.

I think Team GGG begged for Canelo. They don’t mind losing here forward. That must have been part of the deal opposed to going to PBC. GGG and his brother Max just being persuaded by Loeffler how to ask for fights.

This is all Loeffler’s mastermind idea. I’m sure he put in GGG’s contracts some details about the Mexican holidays having a minimum amount for the $100mil. Which is why they’re pushing for the fight. DAZN isn’t worried because this year it’s just $35mil for Canelo.

In the grand scheme of things, DAZN grows.

Kovalev or GGG were the two fights DAZN liked the best but Canelo could have fought Derv, Jermall,Andrade or Bivol and DAZN would not have stopped the fight. Canelo chose not to fight in September and made no offers to fight any of these boxers who called him out. I have read on this forum many times that Canelo is the boss and can fight anyone he wants anytime he wants. I don't believe that but that is what many Canelo fans say.

Bolio you don’t know that! Don’t you think Canelo would have jumped @t the possibility of KOing sloppy ass limited Derevyanchenko for 35 million if Dazn would have allowed it?

GGG fighting Dervy is a great fight but so is Canelo fighting Dervy is also a great fight that Canelo could have fought in September. He chose to give up his September date and his WBA middleweight title and DAZN would not have stopped Canelo from doing that. Quit saying it's all DAZN's fault Canelo gave up his September date because that is BS. You alway say GGG should fight the top 3 middleweights, Andrade, Dervy and Jermall nnd as a GGG fan I wish he would fight one of them to try to become a world champion. But you never say Canelo should fight Dervy, Jermall or Andrade even though Canelo is the middleweight champ who said he wanted all the belts and told GGG to win a middleweight belt before fighting him.
