Nelo has to cut them strings. A 3rd fight will only show how old GGG really is.

GGG fans have that excuse locked and loaded.

The problem is that Canelo has realized that GGG, Wilder, other offers, that DAZN gives out or can splurge...

For instance let’s take Wilder. Wilder was to be given $20:$20:$40mil for 3 fights against Joshua.

Now we can all agree Heavyweight is a different circumstance, however, Wilder hasn’t achieved Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis style numbers even in a post PPV age.

Point is, realistically, $35mil is very low for Canelo vs GGG.

The facts are that Canelo vs GGG series did an average of 1mil PPV. Therefore, Canelo and GGG both have the right to claim that the final closing Trilogy would be just as big or even bigger.

Therefore, in theory, Canelo is a bigger name than AJ or Wilder as far as selling power. So against GGG, Canelo should be getting a minimum of $70mil vs GGG. The problem is that it wasn’t discussed upon Canelo’s signing nor was perhaps Canelo even thinking about GGG. So to ration out the pay for Canelo’s 8-9 remaining fights isn’t fair because we don’t know the magnitude of Canelo’s future fights.

So again, GGG would receive a minimum of $30mil against Canelo while Canelo makes $35mil. The problem is that Canelo is not obligated to fight GGG nor does he have to fulfill another man’s multi-deal.

GGG should not have trolled headlines as to who was boss etc...

Canelo just needs to be Canelo and fight whoever and bring fans to DAZN. GGG has to do the same for his $17mil per fight here after against who?

What Canelo did is what any other guy would do.

        So simple.
        Might to too simple.

What I don't know is how much say does DAZN have in who Nelo fights ???

Or is it all up to GBP and they just promise to air it on DAZN ???

The best solution for everything which would've already secured this fight is if DAZN gave a bonus to Canelo. An extra $30million for the GGG fight. That's the most reasonable thing to do. Canelo will simply not fight GGG again for a maximum of $35mil. The most Canelo can get given the relativity of his contract is $35mil.

We know DAZN could've done this if they had money secured for Wilder. Also Ruiz Jr. will bring a huge Mexican following to DAZN in the rematch, so much of this conceptual marketing surrounding Mexican boxing is secured.

Or, Carlos Slim should have a sit down with Blavatnik and say, ''look he'yah my nizzle, you want my boy to fight GGG no problem, but yall funna have to give him the extra quid my nizzle!''

So DAZN don't have a say in who Nelo or GGG fight ?

The problem is that should GGG lose to Andrade really dulls down GGG's image on DAZN and it makes it really hard for DAZN to justify his paygrade of $17mil each fight wouldnt you agree? If BJS ducked Andrade, it's not far fatched to think that Loeffler and GGG are too. DAZN imo would have a hard time selling GGG if he lost to Andrade, and fans would be critical of GGG's pay afterwards.

GGG was optimistically saved for Canelo. I doubt GGG cares if he loses to Canelo because as you said all the excuses are ready to go while the Kazakh gets his bread!

Canelo doesn't want to fulfill that.

Here's the cool part about Canelo's team. Canelo would most likely receive a similar cut as his Fielding pay should he fight a lesser known guy than Kovalev. Perhaps $25 million against the Krusher outside of the Mexican Holidays, or $20 million. IT's still good for Canelo because his future fights still ration out to more money.

I will bet you guys any money that if Munguia vs GGG gets made, GGG will receive a minimum of $20million, maybe even more if it lands on the Mexican holiday. Therefore, again, GGG would have received $30 million against Canelo. This is all strategy as well. GGG could injured in the future and cancel a bout. This is fine because his Canelo pay would've secured it. This is why DAZN wanted the fight. They want GGG to ONLY LOSE to Canelo.

I don't care about the why. It's about a rematch and the fact Canelo doesn't want it. Golovkin could have walked away from Canelo after the draw and kept his titles. Yeah it's about the money why he wanted to fight him again but he also wanted to prove he was the better fighter and that Canelo got a gift.

Possibly no one knows for sure. I think Golovkin realises by now he will never win a decision against Canelo even if he clearly beats him again as in the first fight. Anyway you are saying DAZN wants Golovkin to lose. Canelo is telling everyone he beat him and Canelo is defying his business partner by not giving them what they want risking his credibility, cancelling a date that is a favorite of his fan base even though he's confident he will win. When you put it that way it all comes together.
