Matchroom is the worst in boxing when it comes to match making and when the Breazeale fight didn't happen, there were other easier options out there he could've made for the same title shot.
Yeah they are the worst for putting on competitive , enjoyable fights

Nope, Deontay has a year to fulfill his mandatory obligation. Unification also trumps mandatory, there is also a proposal set forth by the WBC board of directors to honor Deontay Wilder with WBC 'Franchise' champion elite status, which frees Wilder from any obligation to fight Whyte.

Shyte is going to have to defend his interim-title and still may have to fight someone else for the vacant WBC title if Wilder is elevated by the WBC -- which reminds me, according to the current rankings Parker and Kownacki would be the leading candidates for the vacant WBC HW title. I doubt Shyte beats either.

I normally don’t give “Fast Eddie” any credit but if Wilder gets pass Ortiz, I think they are saying that fight is on November 9th now, that’s another good fight the winner of Wilder/Fury has to make. I believe the Wilder/Fury fight will take place sometime in April 2020. So does that mean Whyte has to wait until September 2020 or will the WBC try to force Wilder to fight Whyte “before” Fury even though they already signed and agreed to a fight in 2020.

Well, since the scumbag with a big mouth called "hearn" isn't the one getting punched in the face. You don't risk your fighters after grinding hard to get to the top with this type of match up when there are money fights on the horizon. You play it safe like the rest are doing. If the rest are doing the same, then it's understandable. However, they're not.

If Dillian loses, he's done, especially since he's with Hearn. And that would amount to putting everything on the line when there's little or nothing to gain. Dillian is a match up nightmare for Fury and Wilder and at this point, based on where he's, it's time to play it safe until the big fights happen. Rivas is a terrible match up for Dillian and this fight doesn't make sense.

Your math is all wrong wilder doesn’t have to take care of wbc mando for a year he just did in May.... after Ortiz/wilder it’s either a unification with Ruiz or fury next with the Ruiz is unification happening I have him dismantling Joshua again before mandatories by ibf/wbo will be called

Irrespective of whether Whyte wins, the WBC will continue to protect Wilder from a proper test. Breazeale and a rapidly declining Ortiz? Pathetic #runwilderrun

Not necessarily so. Wilder has until May 18, 2020 to fight his mandatory and given the WBC's history of leniency and leeway towards Deontay Wilder I wouldn't be highly surprised if it took even longer than that.

Just took a look at Rivas highlights, he ain't that good, terrible foot work, and falls in to his opponents...

Winners getting an interim belt, that means nothing. After Ortiz probably comes Ruiz/AJ winner. Fury and Whyte can wait. And if does try to get in the way they'll just franchise Wilder
