Mad props to Yarde for this move. We have a ballsy young fighter wanting to fight the best and some of you are shtting on him? Gtfo poosies.
This is what boxing is all about and if more fighters did this, boxing would be alot more entertaining.Comment

slappin soggy outright lost the 1st fight with kovalev and should have been disqualified for the 2nd fight because of multiple nut shots and a corrupt refereeComment

Tunde considers himself a perfect sparring partner. So, no one else is needed in his opinion...Comment

If Ward was still around then Yarde probably would be the right horse to give him his first loss. Actually 2nd since kov got robbed the first fight.Comment

I was impressed with Andre against Froch...thought he won a 7-5 type fight...but all those other guys you mentioned are one or all of 3 things: a) not very good, b) fought Ward very close despite being B level 'road' fighters (meaning Andre could get all the advantages he needed at home), and c) had some really shady judging or reffing go against them.People need to stop comparing and mentioning Foldalev in the same breath as the great Andre Ward. When you compare their BEST “official” wins....NO COMPARISON!!!
Ward: 32-0 (undefeated)
Edison Miranda
Mikkel Kessler
Sakio Bika
Arthur Abraham
Carl Froch
Chad Dawson
Edwin Rodriguez
Sullivan Barrera
Sergey Kovalev (2 wins)
Sergey Kovalev (33-3-1)
Nathan Cleverly
Bernard Hopkins
Jean Pascal (2 wins)
Eleider Alvarez (lost in 1st fight to Alvarez)
Honestly when you put the names out there like that...even without going into much detail about what really happened in those fights...it's hard to see how people really rate that resume much at all...going 12 in hard fights with Miranda Bika Barrera is not exactly otherworldly stuff.
I just think it's funny how on some people's resumes the Bikas Mirandas and Barreras get hyped up...but those types of fighters on other guys' resumes seem to be called 'bums' lol...and to be clear I don't think they were bums...if Andre was really dominating all of those guys I think it would be really impressive...I just never really saw him dominate at all in a fight against anyone B level or above...he was a tough smart fighter though and it was hard to look good against him as well...he really knew how to muck rounds up and make them close and difficult to score.Last edited by Boxing_1013; 07-14-2019, 01:44 PM.Comment
