Let's make this simple so everyone can understand the situation.

Matchroom is said to have made Ruiz personally sign the contract, the one giving Matchroom all the say so on the rematch.

    That is not in dispute.

The problem is that Ruiz can basically put his middle finger up to all of it, do whatever he wants and deal with whatever lawsuit Matchroom starts to enforce their contract.

Meanwhile, no sanctioning body will strip Ruiz (hell, some will call for their mandatories) and Andy will have networks and boxing commissions all over the world that will welcome him fighting someone else.

If he decides to do a mando or a big money fight with Fury or Wilder, no court case is going to be adjudicated fast enough to stop it.

Therefore, while Matchroom DOES hold all the cards, they have to be careful about how they play them.

Too rigid, too uncompromising and they will get the finger from Ruiz.

And if Ruiz loses one or more of those belts while the court case runs it's course, Matchroom loses even if they win.

That's why Ruiz DOES have some leverage.

That's why Hearn and AJ will be well advised to compromise.

I doubt the actual location was in the contract. But I imagine the clause was that Hearn/Joshua get to decide the location.

I'd be surprised if that wasn't the case.

I honestly don't think location matters at all, ajs glaring deficiencies can't be fixed in a short space of time he has poor fighters instinct when hurt you cant train that.

Ruiz will repeat the first fight and doesn't have the unknown to contend with this time he will be very confident whereas aj will have so much pressure to perform it will cause another mental block equaling hesitation and gameplan to be thrown out the window.

            No they aren't.

If you remember Fury got stripped of one of his belts cuz of the rematch clause with Klitschko.

            Contract>ABC Group.

A belt might get lost over this rematch happening this time to if something got called in.

You know what prevents Ruiz from putting up the “Middle finger?” A contract that he used those fingers to sign... lol, you are dreaming up scenarios that doesn’t even make sense. Let’s wait and see if Ruiz puts up the middle finger and goes for lawsuits.

Like a lot of people have mentioned unless Team joshua are ******** idiots then Ruiz has zero choice but to fight the rematch as stipulated in the contract he signed as a voluntary challenger.

All these dreams is just laughable. Forget the lawsuits who is going to pay him what he stands to make in the rematch? The stress of going through all of that just to avoid a rematch? Lol.... ok

He becomes the A-side when he wins the rematch, unless Team Joshua are trying to manipulate the contract in case he wins the rematch THEN he has a case.

Ruiz cant be stripped if an ongoing match is in play and being a court battle. Wrong. Ruiz pockets would empty awfully fast too. Ha ,just to spite Hearn and Co. ? Really.

Edit : Fury was stripped because he was playing games with cancellations, injuries and then court cases with PEDS. The IBF knew what was going on behind the scenes and pulled the plug fast ,this isn't the same situation.

I would be surprised if the location is set in stone too, am guessing here that Team Joshua picks the location doe. But whether they do or not I hope they go back to MSG. He lost his belts right there.

Of course the rematch is taking place and there is no way Ruiz can get out of it without losing his titles.
Ruiz will earn more money than he has ever made before with the rematch and would be a fool to try and backslide his way out of it....Joshua has already said MSG is fine with him also so expect it to be announced soon.....Cardiff or msg will be the venue and your hear that soon.

For whatever reason you have a lot of poster cooking up different ways Ruiz can get out of the rematch lol, like why would he? Forget all those A-side talk from him, he has to sound like that. The contract he signed when he wanted an opportunity decides everything not the words coming out of his mouth. Yeah master Haymon found a loophole 😂
