Cotto weighed in under 154 for Canelo - 153.5, if I remember right - and the fight was made at a contracted catchweight of 155.

But it was a MW title fight, so the official sanctioned weight was 160.

Canelo could fight Kovalev for the LHW title at a contracted weight of 164, or even lower, if Krusher agreed to it, but the official sanctioned weight would be 175.

That could just be Kovalev keeping the pressure on GBP for a better offer.

However, Frank Warren said in an interview yesterday that he would be making an announcement about the fight on Sat.

The interviewer asked him if that meant it was happening. Warren said he didn't want to spoil the surprise. I think it's safe to assume that it's on and Warren is going to announce the date on Sat.
